Why does PowerShell quit unexpectedly when I run the “New-CMSiteSystemServer” cmdlet?

Why does PowerShell quit unexpectedly when I run the “New-CMSiteSystemServer” cmdlet? I am trying to run the ConfigMgr 2012 R2 New-CMSiteSystemServer cmdlet but PowerShell exits unexpectedly.
