“Windows could not start the Windows Deployment Services Server on Local Computer” on SCCM PXE DP

“Windows could not start the Windows Deployment Services Server on Local Computer” on SCCM PXE DP

I’ve enabled PXE on one of my ConfigMgr Distribution Points (DPs).

Windows Deployment Services (WDS) and PXE install correctly, but the WDS Service never starts.

If I try and start the WDS Service manually I get the following error:

Windows could not start the Windows Deployment Services Server on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Even Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, or refer to service-specific error code -1056505588.

If I look in the Application Event Log on a 64-bit server it shows the following entries:
