“CMPDBConnection::ExecuteSQL(): ICommandText::Execute() failed with 0x80040E37” error when trying to deploy a new Management Point that uses a Database Replica

I’ve installed ConfigMgr 2012 R2 SP1 and I’m trying to deploy a new Management Point configured to use a database replica. However, this is failing and if I look in the MP_Location.log I’m seeing the following error after installing a new Client:
