“Error: CSMSAMTDiscoveryTask::Execute, discovery to client_computer failed. General Worker Thread Pool: Error, Can not execute the task successfully. Remove it from task list”

I’ve noticed for externally provisioned AMT Clients that Power Control and Clear Audit Log collection-based actions are failing.

If I look in the amptopmgr.log I see the following:

Error: CSMSAMTDiscoveryTask::Execute, discovery to client_computer failed. General Worker Thread Pool: Error, Can not execute the task successfully. Remove it from task list.
