Why don’t my Modern Apps don’t function immediately after upgrading an enrolled Windows RT-based device to Windows 8.1 RT General Availability?

I’ve upgraded an enrolled Windows RT-based device to Windows 8.1 RT General Availability.

However, I’ve noticed that not all of my modern apps that were installed through the Company Portal app before the upgrade function immediately, and on some I’m seeing a “X” on the apps tile.
