Site Assignment fails with either “Failed to get Site Version from all directories” or “Failed to refresh security settings over AD with error 0x87d00217”
I am having problems with my Clients failing to get Assigned to a Site.
If I look in LocationServices.log I see the following:
LSGetSiteVersionFromAD : Attempting to query AD for MPs for site ”
Performing AD query: ‘(&(ObjectCategory=mSSMSManagementPoint)(mSSMSSiteCode=))’

LSGetSiteVersionFromAD : Failed to retrieve version for the site ” (0x80004005)
LSIsSiteCompatible : Failed to get Site Version from all directories

Or the other error I see is:
Refreshing security settings over AD
ClientOperationalSettings search filter is ‘(&(ObjectCategory=mSSMSManagementPoint)(mSSMSDefaultMP=TRUE)(mSSMSSiteCode=))’
