Why are the values for my Client’s Assigned, Installed and Resident Site different?

I’ve noticed that when I look at the Properties of some of my Clients that the following Properties all have different values:

• Configuration Manager Assigned Sites
• Configuration Manager Installed Sites
• Configuration Manager Resident Sites

Is this right?
