Microsoft has just updated the following KB Article:
The SMS Executive Service may stop unexpectedly when you add or update packages from distribution points
Symptoms:
When you add or update a package from lots of distribution points (more than 100 distribution points), the SMS Executive Service may stop unexpectedly. Additionally, entries that resemble the following are logged in the Distmgr.log file before the process ends:
Wait failed while waiting for all DP threads to end. Thread Count = 94, Error = 87
Distribution Manager tried 100 times, it will exit now
Distribution Manager tried 100 times, it will exit now
Note The log entries do not always indicate a problem state that will cause the process to end.
