“Hi, all,
If you’re a TechNet or MSDN subscriber, I have good news for you: in response to your requests, Windows Server 2012 R2 (and Windows 8.1) will be available for download from TechNet and MSDN today. Because we will continue to evaluate the bits with our partners and MVPs, there may be additional changes between today’s release and GA. The previously announced GA date of October 18 has not changed.

This does NOT apply to ConfigMgr 2012 R2, which as far as I know will still GA on 18th October
