I just wanted to apologies for the downtime we experienced on Wednesday. It wasn’t planned and was caused by my hosting company making an unplanned, unagreed change.

However, whilst I had their attention I took the opportunity to put in some configuration changes I’ve had planned for a while but was planning to implement over several weekends. I shan’t bore you with the technical details, but high level we’ve changed things around a bit behind the scenes to make things far better and ultimately improve things both for you and us.

Of course with any change there are downsides and in my case as a result of this change several URLs in Google are out of date. As a result if you click on any link in Google that starts http://faqshop.com/ you may get an error as these now all point to http://faqshop.com (without the “/wp/”).

We are trying to get Google to revisit us ASAP to update all of our URLs and we are also trying to put in redirects to take care of things our end until Google plays catch-up but there will unfortunately be cases where you get the dreaded “404 – Page Not Found” error.

If you do get this, simply remove “/wp/” from the URL and you should be good or just use the Search facility on the site which find what you’re looking for.

This is not the experience I wanted and I apologise once again for this and like I’ve said we’re trying to minimise the impact to you.

Many thanks for your understanding and as always feel free to get in touch if you have any issues with the Site or our content.
