ConfigMgr / SCCM 2007 error “There may be too many steps in the task sequence object. Please see log file for more details.”

I’m trying to edit and existing Task Sequence in the ConfigMgr 2007 Admin Console. However, I’m seeing an error dialog box which states:

“There may be too many steps in the task sequence object. Please see log file for more details.”
