“DOS partition table format can not be used on drives for volumes[0x00a]larger than 2.2 TB (2199023255040 bytes)” when trying to inventory a Linux/ UNIX Client with a disk larger than 2 terabytes

I am trying to run Hardware Inventory on my Linux/ UNIX Clients but Hardware Inventory is failing to access disks larger than 2 terabytes:

I’m seeing the following error on my Linux/ UNIX Clients when running Hardware Inventory:

Why are my modified Hardware Inventory Classes not appearing in the Console?

I’ve modified the Hardware Inventory Classes collected during Hardware Inventory. However, I don’t see the updated results in the ConfigMgr Console.

I am trying to run Hardware Inventory on a computer running a 32-bit version of Windows Server 2003 R2.

However, when it runs the Wmiprvse.exe crashes and when I look at the details of the fault it shows:

I’ve noticed that for some reason Hardware Inventory isn’t returning Serial Number properties for the PC BIOS class for my UNIX and Linux-based computers.

I’ve noticed that for some reason Hardware Inventory isn’t returning any data for the PC BIOS class for my AIX-based computers.

Why do I get an error stating my Sms_def.mof contains invalid information when trying to import it?

I am trying to import my Sms_def.mof to ConfigMgr 2012 in order to customise Hardware Inventory.

However, when I try to do so the file doesn’t open and I get an error that the file contains invalid data.

“SetRegistrationState failed (0x80071770)” in ClientIDManagerStartup.log on Clients that repeatedly become “Inactive”

I’ve got some ConfigMgr Clients that repeatedly become inactive. These Clients haven’t sent any inventory information for more than 30 days and the Inventoryagent.log hasn’t been updated.

If I look in ClientIDManagerStartup.log I see the following error being repeated over and over:
