Why doesn’t ConfigMgr 1511 recognise my SQL Always On Group?

I’ve created a SQL Always On Group, but when I specify it during ConfigMgr 1511 installation I get an error where ConfigMgr is saying it doesn’t recognise the compatible version.

If I specify just a single node the installation proceeds without any errors.
