“This application requires Microsoft Silverlight” when trying to Sign in to the Intune Portal using Microsoft Edge

I am trying to sign in into the Intune Portal using Microsoft Edge. I manage to login and then I get the following error:

This application requires Microsoft Silverlight

Silverlight is already installed on my machine and I’ve even tried re-installing it but it makes no difference.

Why don’t I see the “iOS 7 and iOS 8 Security Settings Extension” since upgrading to ConfigMgr 2012 R2 SP1?

I used to run ConfigMgr 2012 R2 where I enabled the iOS 7 and iOS 8 Security Settings Extension.

However, now I’ve upgraded to R2 SP1 I no longer see this and the other Extensions I enabled.

“ERROR: Upload transmission d3a29650-b117-4fd1-b1f5-45af089198e4 blockID 1 failed with status code ABORT and error code NoError”

I’ve just tried to add my Microsoft Intune subscription to ConfigMgr, but it’s failing with exceptions between data transmissions when the first upload to Microsoft Intune starts.

If I look in the Dmpuploader.log on my Primary I’m seeing the following sequence of errors:

StartUpload for replication group CloudDmp last sync version 0 …
StartUpload for replication group CloudDmp last sync version 0 …

Followed by the following error when the data transmissions is aborted:

ERROR: Upload transmission d3a29650-b117-4fd1-b1f5-45af089198e4 blockID 1 failed with status code ABORT and error code NoError

After this I see a series of errors when the upload process continues to fail:

ERROR: StartUpload exception: [The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error. For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the configuration behavior) on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs.]
