“Get SAS on Intune package XXX011D6 Intune Id <{guid}/file_name>” in outgoingcontentmanager.log when trying to install an Application from the SCCM 2012 Company Portal to a device

I am trying to install an ConfigMgr 2012 Application from the Company Portal to a device but it’s failing.

If I look in the outgoingcontentmanager.log on the Site Server I see:

Get SAS on Intune package XXX011D6 Intune Id <{guid}/file_name>
ERROR: Failed to get SAS location for <package_id> as result is empty
ERROR: Caught exception in GetSasUrl for package <package_id>: System.InvalidOperationException - Failed to upload as result is empty.

Why doesn’t Content install or upload to a Cloud DP when I create an Application in ConfigMgr 2012 SP2/ R2 SP1 CU1?

I’ve created an Application that I want to deploy to a Mobile device that supports .xap device type files.

In the Application Properties in the Deployment Types list I’ve clicked Copy to create an identical Deployment Type then clicked OK

I’ve then tried deploying the Application specifying the content to be uploaded to my Cloud Distribution Point (DP).

For some reason the Content doesn’t get uploaded to my Cloud DP and as a result the Application doesn’t install.

I’ve also noticed the same problem if I:

1. Click Add In the Application Properties in the Deployment Types list to create a Deployment Type that has a framework dependency, then click OK.
2. Click Add again to create an additional Deployment Type that has the same framework dependency then click OK.
3. I deploy the Application and specify the content that should be uploaded to my Cloud DP.

I am trying to use the Distribute Content Wizard to add a Pull Distribution Point (DP), as a content destination. However, when I try I get the following error, even when the content is available on the source DP:

“IsCacheCopyNeeded returned ‘true’ by content_id” Error when trying to distribute software to a Client and the Client Cache is full

I have deployed some virtual applications to a Client computer. However, whenever I distribute ConfigMgr 2012 R2 to the Client computer the distribution fails when the Client Cache is full.

If I look in the Cas.log on the Client I see:

Why are my Linux and UNIX Clients requesting Distribution Points when the Software Distribution doesn’t contain any content?

I’ve noticed that when I target a Software Distribution to my Linux and UNIX Clients that doesn’t contain any content, these Clients are still contacting their Management Point (MP), to request a list of Distribution Points (DPs). This causes additional delay before the Client executes the Program contained in the Software Distribution.

“Request sate is WAITING_RETRY” when Linux/ UNIX Client is unable to download content from a Distribution Point

I’ve noticed on my Linux/ UNIX Clients that when they can’t download content from a Distribution Point (DP), the Client enters a state of WAITING_RETRY and won’t retry downloading content unless I restart the Client.

For example:

Why is the Distribution of Content Packages delayed?

I am trying to distribute content Packages in my ConfigMgr 2012 R2 environment but it’s taking forever.

If I look at DistMgr.log on the Site Server I see the following lines repeated over and over, almost as though ConfigMgr is looping through the list of Distribution Points (DPs), even though nothing has been changed:

~A site control change notification has occurred, it will be handled before returning to sleep.
