If you've pushed a Secondary installation from a Primary and the red hour
glass beside it doesn't go away here's some things to check:
- Check that the SMS
Services are present on the Secondary and started (apart from the
SMS_SITE_BACKUP service).
- If the SMS Bootstrap
service is present but stopped start it.
- Check the "SMSSETUP.LOG"
in the root of the C:\ drive on the Secondary for any errors.
- Close and re-open the MMC
as sometimes the MMC looses the connection between the SQL database and
closing/ re-opening it re-establishes the connection and you may find the
hour glass disappears.
