We are currently testing SMS 2003
but I’ve got problems with my Collections for AD users, systems, etc. not
showing any members.

The most common thing I've seen from users with SMS 2003 is that Collections
are configured to update daily in SMS 2003 versus hourly in SMS 2.0. Make sure
you update manually, then refresh the collection.
Secondly, you only get AD specific info for computers, such as groups and OUs,
when you run Active Directory System Group Discovery. Active Directory System
Discovery does not collect that data.
