Yes. By default the “out-the-box” Collections update once a day at 04:00. If you want to change this:

1. Right-click on the Collection and select "Properties".
2. Click the "Membership Rules" tab.
3. Click the "Schedule..." button.
4. Specify how often you want the Collection to update.

I wouldn't set it too aggressively to begin with as like I say SMS has many spinning plates it need to keeps going and if you get it spending too long on one thing it may impact on other processes (and the last thing you want is to hear crashing plates in the background).
