Double-click “autorun.exe” on
the SMS media.

Click “SMS 2003 Service Pack 3”
on the “Systems Management Server 2003 Service Pack 3 Setup”
screen. Setup will initialise.

Click “Next >” on the “Welcome
to the Microsoft Systems Management Server Setup Wizard”
screen.

Click “Next >” on the “System
Configuration” screen.

Select the “Install the SMS Administrator
console and related tools” radio button on the “Setup
Options” screen then click “Next >”.

Select the “I Agree” radio
button on the “Systems Management Server License Agreement”
screen if you are in agreement with the license agreement then click “Next
>”. The “Next >” will not become available and
setup cannot continue unless you click the “I Agree”
radio button.

Type the name of the SMS Site Server you wish to
connect to in the “SMS site server name:” field on the
“SMS Site Server Information” screen then click “Next
>”.

Click “Next >”
on the “SMS Administrator Console Installation Options”
screen if you want to accept the default installation directory.
If you want to change the drive/ directory where the Admin Console will
be installed click the “Change Directory” button and
select the drive/ directory you wish to install the Admin Console to
then click “OK”. Then click “Next >”
on the “SMS Administrator Console Installation Options”
screen.
TIP: If you want to change
the installation simply click in the “Path:” field and
change it as if you use the “Drives:” dropdown it
defaults to changing the installation to the root of that drive which is
unsupported (so you then need to add “SMSADMIN” to the
end of the path.

Click “Finish” on the “Completing
the Systems Management Server Setup Wizard” screen.
Various progress screens are displayed as the files and components are
installed.

Click “OK” on the “Systems
Management Server Setup Wizard” dialog box.

The SMS Administrator Console is now installed.
To load it navigate to “Start | All Programs | Systems
Management Server | SMS Administrator Console”.
