SMS 2003 SP3 is not just a roll-up of all of the hotfixes for SMS 2003 (including those released post SP2).  It also includes:

• Full support for Windows Vista including the ability to deploy Vista images via the updated version of the OS Deployment Feature Pack.
   
• Improved stability.
   
• The first release of the "Asset Intelligence" capabilities as a result of Microsoft's acquisition of AssetMatrix last April. This is an optional installation which:
  • Extends the SMS Hardware and Software Inventory to collect additional data from managed machines known as "artifact data".
  • Includes a new set of asset lookup tables which are a distillation of the AMx Knowledge Base to provide correlation between this artifact data and the hardware/ software assets and categories.
  • Over 30 new Reports to provide rich identification and categorisation of hardware and software assets in addition to license information on Microsoft products such as how those licenses were installed.
