How Can I Monitor When Hardware Inventory is Running on Clients?

How can I monitor when the hardware inventory is running on clients?

I can see when it is running due to the security updates, but no other time.

It is scheduled to run every 2 days.

In Resource Explorer for a client, under Hardware node, check Workstation Status which lists the last hardware scan date and time. If you can access the client itself, you can also check winnt\system32\ccm\logs\inventoryAgent.log (SMS 2003 Advanced client), or winnt\ms\sms\logs\hinv.log for legacy client; they log all the details.
