In an announcement made last Thursday, Microsoft stated that several
SMS-related newsgroups would be retired in an effort to help make getting
answers on problems easier.
The following message was posted to those newsgroups to be retired:
Hello,
We recommend you post to one of the following newsgroups where you will find
a much more active community, including MVPs and members of the SMS product
team:
* microsoft.public.sms.admin
* microsoft.public.sms.setup
* microsoft.public.sms.misc
* microsoft.public.sms.installer
* microsoft.public.sms.swdist
* microsoft.public.sms.inventory
* microsoft.public.sms.tools
In an effort to help you find an active SMS newsgroup and maximize your
chances of having a valuable discussion, we will be retiring several SMS
newsgroups over the next few months. Removing the following newsgroups will
help community members find the most active and relevant SMS newsgroups
quickly:
* microsoft.public.sms.win2k
* microsoft.public.sms.rcdiags
* microsoft.public.sms.netmon
* microsoft.public.sms.sharedapps
* microsoft.public.sms.swmeter
* microsoft.public.sms.sitecomm
If you have any concerns or feedback, please let us know. We value your
feedback!
Best regards,
SMS Team
Microsoft
