Remote Control Box Appears for No Reason

There is a user who has the remote control properties set for no access. However, she has a small white background box that appears on her screen for no apparent reason - this is associated with SMS Remote Control.

I cannot remote control her PC as the settings disallowing administrator access are working. Any idea what could be bringing up this box? We have been closing the session each time this occurs.

Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 200586 'SMS: RC Being Accessed Icon Appears Inappropriately' has a possible explanation. I believe this behaviour was also seen on the old remote control ports 1761/2/3/4 if another application was trying to use them. This was solved in a post-SP4 fix for SMS 1.2 and in SP2 for SMS 2.0, when the ports changed to the 2701/2/3/4 range.
