SMS Site Properties Manager Doesn’t Import Collections Correctly

I am using the Site Properties Manager tool to import my Collections from our old server to our new server. Alot of our Collections are based on numerous rules of Queries per Collection. When I import a Collection it appears that only the first Query rule gets imported and all other rules are excluded or dropped. Has anyone ever experienced this? If so, did you find a solution?

This seems to be a very common problem with this tool but because it’s a Resource Kit utility it’s unsupported by Microsoft. But all is not lost as the Administration Feature Pack for SMS includes the Transfer Site Settings Wizard (amongst other tools), to do this which is supported, so this is the way forward.

The Feature Pack includes documentation on using the 'Transfer Site Settings' wizard (look in the 'TransferSettings' folder that should have been created under the folder you unzip the Feature Pack to ('SMSAdminFP_ENU' by default). The help file is called 'TransferSettings.chm').
