This is documented in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 259249 'DDM Merges Data Discovery Records from a Shared Docking Station Environment.' As Data Discovery Manager uses the IP address and the MAC address of the network card to uniquely identify a network discovery DDR, when a second computer is discovered from a shared docking station, it's NetBIOS name replaces the one of the previously discovered laptop.
