Loads of SMSCCMBootAcct&.<computername>.xxx Directories in Documents and Settings

Since we upgraded a lot of our clients to Windows 2000 I've noticed that some of them have a tendency to just 'fall off' the SMS collection. If you go to the PCs in question and have a look, there are loads of directories in "Documents and Settings" each called "SMSCCMBootAcct&.<computername>.xxx"

All of these PCs did work fine at first installation, but most will not accept a subsequent manual installation using SMSMAN. You just get another directory appear!!

The multiple profiles generated is generally due to a security issue on the workstation. See the following article for more information and a fix:
