How Long Does it Take to Install a Fully Functional Client Using SMSman?

When someone installs the SMS Client using SMSman.exe on a PC, generally how long does it take for it to take full effect on the PC? We tried remote controlling a PC and it says 'Remote Control Agent not found.' Now when I look at the machine in the SMS Admin Console it is listed as both a Client and as being Assigned.

The client is usually installed within a few minutes, depending on if the logged on user is a local admin or not. If the user is an admin, then it is fairly quick (couple of minutes). If not, then it can take a while longer as the Site Server has to push out the install to the clients.
