Clients at Secondary site not being discovered, but same clients discovered OK at Primary |
|
I have two separate IP class B
subnets. I setup my Primary site on one subnet with zero problems. But I have
been working with my Secondary site, a totally different IP subnet, and I have
setup all the boundaries on both sites. All of this is in one domain, but the
sites are separated by several miles with different routers between them. I cannot get the Secondary site client codes or a "YES" in the client field. I do have "YES" in some of the Secondary site client assigned fields, but that is about as far as it gets. I tried adding a part of the Secondary sites IP range to the Primary sites boundaries. By doing so I was able to get 4 stations to the Primary site, Primary client, and Primary field. Any suggestions to where I messed up the Secondary site. The only thing I can think of is default gateways (I did setup SNMP between sites), my BDC at the Secondary site is showing up on the Primary site as a logon point. I tried getting the BDC to the Secondary (only with CAP), but now its on both sites different settings. Check "Sender.log" and
"Replmgr.log" on both site servers for
any errors. In this particular case, the "Sender address" on the Primary to the
Secondary was setup incorrectly. When this was rectified, both sites were
screaming at each other for about two hours and now SMS is working correctly. |
