Windows 95 clients hanging when using IBM's Client Access for Windows 95 connecting to AS/400's

Has anyone heard of problems with SMS and IBM's second release Client Access for Windows 95 used to connect to AS/400's. We have a site where the clients keep hanging (win95 machines) and all the machines have this installed.

Make sure the Windows 95 clients are running WMI 1.5 and DCOM 1.3 as we had all sorts of problems with Client Access before the clients had that. This problem is detailed in 240675 "SMS: IBM Client Access Software May Cause SMS Client to Hang"

When we ran into this problem a few months ago there was an APAR (IBMs q-note) # SA89626 that addressed the issue. However there has now been a new service pack released for the Client Access products which is supposed to include the fix. Look at the following:

site for "Downloads". The downloads section includes service packs. Be sure to get the Service Pack that fits your version AND release of Client Access.
