I've got a new BDC that I'd like to get the SMSLOGON share installed on as soon as possible. I can't remember the normal SMS polling cycle but I think it's 24 hours. I'd like to speed it up a bit. Is there an entry in a SQL table or a resource kit utility or do I just need to restart a thread on the senior site? I've already tried stopping and restarting the 'SMS_NT_LOGON_SERVER_MANAGER' thread, no go. Or do I have to sit patiently and wait for SMS to find the new BDC on its own?

Navigate to Site Properties at your Central site and go to 'Client Installation Methods | Network Logon'. Change the 'Logon Point Update Schedule' on the 'Logon Settings' tab to a smaller interval, like 1 hour. After your SMS logon directory and share are created, set it back to 1 day.
