How are people backing their SMS servers up (are they using the Backup task in the MMC and then backing that directory up to tape) or are people doing a full server backup using software that can backup an open SQL database?

Also, how often are people backing up their SMS servers? Does anyone have any experience of doing the full server backup and restoring it in the event of a server failure?

• I do mine on Sundays as scheduled via the MMC. Then I just copy that SMSBACKUP directory to another machine.
