Although it's nice to travel, one of the biggest headaches you face is making sure you pack everything you're going to need without taking everything including the kitchen sink.  This includes making sure you've got all of the adapters you're going to need for all of the devices you're taking with you depending on where you're going to be using them.

Wouldn't it be useful if you could have one adapter that could power all of your devices and work off both AC and DC rather than having to lug multiple adapters around?

Well you can and this is where the iGo Juice from Mobility Electronics really comes into it's own.

The iGo Juice with it's very funky blue LED comes in a very handy and practical zip up carry case which includes leads that allow you to connect to a standard wall power outlet, the cigarette lighter in your car or the power supply on a plane.

Wanting to use the mains on a plane or at home/ in the hotel is logical but why the car?  Well think of the travelling salesman who might want to charge their laptop battery between customer visits or if ever you feel the need to get away from it all to get on with that document well now you can in the comfort of your own car.

The product is compatible with over 600 laptops such as those manufactured by Apple, Compaq, Dell, IBM and a whole host of others.  You simply attach the appropriate tip for your notebook (see the link to the "Compatibility Chart" on the product page) onto the end of the iGo Juice lead and away you go.  If you have more than one laptop or change models all you need is the appropriate tip rather than having to buy a complete new unit.

My only criticism of the product is that it ships with a US power cord which isn't a lot of use in the UK without an adapter (although you can get a UK version from http://www.portable.co.uk/).  It would be useful if a lead with the correct plug was shipped with the unit based on the shipping address.  That apart that's the only criticism.

Travelling to the US a couple of times in the past month has allowed me to road test the unit using different voltages and in it's different configurations.  I'm pleased to say the unit has performed flawlessly and has replaced my standard laptop mains adapter.

But there's more.  If you buy the optional Peripheral Powering System (PPS) you can then not only charge your laptop but also your mobile phone at 3 times the speed of USB and at the same time off the same unit, something which is unique in the marketplace.
