We have a network here with a
majority of Windows 2000 clients but we do have a few Windows 9.x clients still
functioning. When users login to their accounts from a Windows 2000 workstation
their personal directory on the server is mounted. However, when the same user
logs in from a Windows 9.x client the mount is not done.
What needs to be done in order to fix this? When we had NT 4.0 server the 2000
and Windows 9.x machines could all mount the directories with no problem.

We had the same problem
with down level clients trying to log into a Windows 2000 domain. Some clients
would not connect but all 2000 clients were fine. Try and remove everything
including the NIC, join a workgroup and add all the services back. It took a
couple of times but it finally worked.
