"Error 0x80004005, Unexpected DeploymentAction for update 1293995" in Wsyncmgr.log

I'm trying to deploy patches to my SMS 2003 Clients that are members of my ConfigMgr Site but I'm seeing the following errors in my Wsyncmgr.log:

This problem was first discovered with the June 2008 Patch release.  Microsoft added some additional metadata to the "
Wsusscn2.cab" file for Office 2003 SP1.  This additional metadata broke the "UpdateWUSCatalog.exe" which manages the catalog synchronisation process.

Microsoft has released an updated version of this file available under KB article 954474 "System Center Configuration Manager 2007 blocked from deploying security updates" which also contains full details of the issue.

NOTE: This problem only affects ConfigMgr RTM/ SP1 Sites that are deploying to SMS 2003 Clients.  If you're running either a pure ConfigMgr environment or pure SMS 2003 environment then you won't see this issue.
