Yes. When you start the installation of R3 it writes all activity to the "ConfigMgr2007R3.log" file which is stored in the %temp% directory.

Is there an Evaluation Version of R3 RTM available?

Where can I download a copy of R3 RTM?

At the time of writing you can only download the RTM release of R3 from the MVLS website. Microsoft will of course be updating MSDN and their other sites as part of their normal update cycles at which point you'll be able to download the non-eval RTM version.
