The minimum recommended hardware and software for the ConfigMgr Client are:

Hardware

• 233 MHz processor (300 MHz or faster Intel Pentium/Celeron family, or comparable processor recommended).

• 128 MB RAM (256 or + recommended).
  NOTE: A minimum of 384 MB of RAM is required if you're going to use OSD.

• 350 MB free hard disk space for a new Client installation Vs 265 MB if you're upgrading the Client.
  NOTE: By default the temporary program download file is preconfigured at the time of Client installation to autogrow to 5 GB if required and assuming 5 GB or more of space is available.

Software

• Windows 2000 Professional SP4 or later OS (see "Configuration Manager Supported Configurations" for a complete list of supported OSs).
  NOTE: There is no native 64-bit ConfigMgr Client. However running the 32-bit ConfigMgr Client on an x64/ Itanium system is supported.

Mobile Device Client

• 0.78 MB free space for installation.
  NOTE: An additional 256 KB of space can be required for logging purposes.

SMS Client Embedded OS Support

When it comes to embedded platforms ConfigMgr doesn't support a specific Client other than an SMS 2003 embedded Client that is assigned to Child SMS 2003 Primary Site.
