SCCM 2007 ‘Task Sequence: <name> has failed with the error code (0x8007054B). For more information, please contact your system administrator or helpdesk operator’

SCCM 2007 Task Sequence: <name> has failed with the error code (0x8007054B).

When I try to run my Task Sequence it fails and displays the following error message:

Task Sequence: <name> has failed with the error code (0x8007054B). For more information,
please contact your system administrator or helpdesk operator

If I look in the smsts.log I see the following:

Failed to run the action: Error in the task sequence.
The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. (Error: 8007054B; Source: Windows)

Then a few lines later

The execution of the group (Gather Logs and StateStore on Failure) has failed and the execution has been aborted.
An action failed.

Operation aborted (Error: 80004004; Source: Windows)

Failed to run the last action: Error in the task sequence. Execution of task sequence failed.

The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. (Error: 8007054B; Source: Windows)
